Dayana Khatib is a student of communications, refugee law and politics.
She is an Advisory Board member of LEAP, the Learning for the Empowerment and Advancement of Palestinians program. She also serves as Senior Strategic Advisor and Communications Coordinator for the program.
She is the co-founder of the Muslim Commons, the first Muslim graduate student group of its kind at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
She served as the Religious Life Chair of the Columbia University Muslim Student Association (2010-2011) and was an Organizing Committee member of the Muslim Protagonist Writers Symposium. (2014-2016)
Her work on justice for Palestinians and Muslim-student community organizing earned her a defamatory listing on the activist watch list website Canary Mission.
